I couldn't resist 
I think it's purty clear what's happening
I remembers back when I dissected a frog and a squid....my friend had nearly choked cause she loves frogs, so I had to do the cutting 
I dunno why they make that a requirement nowadays and unless you have a strict note from a doctor saying otherwise, you have to participate. 
Zank goodness that it's done and over with for me

I wasn't having much fun dissecting my frog in 7th grade...until I touched the wrong thing, the whole frog twitched and my lab partner almost passed out. Good times.

*laughs at comment reply* (for some reason no direct reply button *shrugs*) I know, we're told that that sometimes happens. (animals back from the dead!!) Biology is my degree (focusing mainly on Biodiversity and Conservation, just finished ma 1st year!).
I kind of wish they didn't tell us those stories before cutting up stuff, its been mainly cutting up insects which have been pickled- so chances of that happening are zero...
But your mind can not help but wonder...
Of course it would be even weirder i something like a flower suddenly sprung to life and attacked you (we do alot of plants unfortunatly)...

Yeah, a flower grabbing the clippers and holding ya at knife point would definetly add muscle to mother nature.

Hey hey! Haven't been on in a while. Thanks for the reply. As for jobs I would like to be in conservation, but also another job which would be cool would be a researcher for nature T.V documentaries. I could never go on screen myself (NO WAY!) but I'd love the behind the scenes work, lots of them get to travel the world...
Course alot of them have to spend hours in a hideout freezing/sweating their butt off, but I don't think I'd mind. It's be worth it. I love animal behaviour.
Yeah weird imagination rocks! Without it there would be no net, no t.v, no art, science(hypotheses gotta start somewhere!), no... well much of anything.
Go mother nature! When you think about it nature has a weird imagination too... just take a look at the ocean floors and become increasingly disturbed by ultimate weirdness... yay!

Definitely adding this one to my faves. Reminds me a lot of when I had to disect a frog in 7th grade @_@ Not exactly pleasant...I swear, one guy in my group had waaaaaaaaay too much fun poking at the frog

I dissected a frog last year, in 7th grade.

I actually did somethin stupid once in there....we had barestools and I was leaning back on mine durin the middle of the teacher's lecture....well, heh 
Everybody turned around to look at me and started busting out laughing cause that was the most excitement in the past hour of his lecture....I was bright red and the teacher busted out laughing saying how I looked like I got sunburned

Lol that's great!!!! I had to disect frogs in 10th grade...of course we also had to do worms, grasshoppers, and baby pigs. Yep I usually did the cutting as well, but that's just because most of the girls were sissys anyways!

Huh, we only did frogs and squids and then we had to make a bug collection......teacher said to use rubbing alcohol to kill the bugs in jars but I used transmission fluid
Yeah, some girls can be total wimps. Like when there's a rat in the classroom? My goodness, I thought the cheerleaders were the only ones that could make a human pyramid like that

Laughs- actually when we did this in school the boys were wimps- we had to cut up dead rats. By some odd fluke, all the girls got females, and all the boys males...
Awkward for the lads cause... um... well they had to cut up things which made them practially spaz as they couldn't help imagining themselves in the rats position...
The partner I got was head girl- and she cut off the head and was a ventroloquist with it- o_0 We all laughed, slightly from shock and it was a bit funny.
Sick I know, poor little Monica (thats what I named her...)

.....she made the dead rat a dead puppet....o.o....what the heck was she smoking?! I never name the thing I dissect cause then ya start growing attached to em and the imagination starts making false memories of how we used to scamper on the lawn playing fetch with a twig and it just gets awkward when ya have a scalpel in your hand. X3
I gave a copy of the pic to my doctor cause she said she shared in the experience...not that the frogs had a piece or anything, but that they came alive before dissection

I didn't have to go through that, thankfully. I feel sorry not only for those that do have to go through it, but for the poor froggies too!

Even if you were absent that day, they still made us make it up!! 
Oh wells, I had a tough stomach back then, so it didn't bother me as much as it bothered anybody else.....except for the fact that the thing was frozen and it was so hard to cut
