I would love to restore all of the old car pic's you have taken. They are all beauties and don't deserve to rot.

Great looking car.. would love to see one operating condition. I use to have a Buick Riviera fishtail.. but nothing as stylish as this.

Thanks!! they are a unique breed!! but the Riviera's were very unique also!! The fastest I've ever gone was in a Boattail Riv at 140 mph

Very nice perspective, Paul. Looks more like a Stingray than the 'Vette ever did.
Rambler - long time since I heard that name - brings back memories of the brown box push-button automatic my mom had in the 60s.

Thanks Ma'am!! You are right about that, I guess I had'nt thought about Vette's looking at them, but you are right!! I understand the Chrysler Crossfire was designed after the Marlin rear, which is easy to see when you look at them as well...

If you study the roof design of the two cars, the Marlin is actually alot more radical, and perhaps not as well "integrated" as the Charger. Also, the Charger (while arguably just basically a Coronet), was a *little* more of a "ground up" design than was the Marlin -- which was really a standard Rambler Classic with a "spacey" roofline spliced onto it (and with a really tiny trunk). Also, I think car buyers just had more "confidence" in a Chrysler product over a Rambler --however misplaced that was -- since AMC made some really good cars over the years.

Ooo cool. Now I remember that car, only remember seeing it from the back. I think Chrysler stole the rear end style from this car along with that tiny bootlid. Does look like a fish with the stingray style slope back and that color.
