The second of four images drawn for of her Final Fantasy VII OC Orion with Rufus Shinra. I tried a new technique with this image: I drew and shaded the image with pencils, scanned the grayscale image and coloured it in photoshop
Definitely learnt a lot with this piece and i had a heap of fun drawing and colouring the background

Wow, this looks cool. I had almost forgotten how much I liked Rufus back in the day (now I feel old again) and he's looking great here. Love the smirk - both on him and on Orion. The background is great, too. The architechture looks very cool and adds to the mood very nicely.

Ah, interesting. That used to be my standard technique before I colored someone else's lineart for the first time. Now I've started coloring my own sketches without shading them first. I'm not sure what works better but it's a bit faster than the previous method (which is good when you work as slowly as me).

Shading my works traditionally is actually more faster for me than painting digitally, I suppose thats because I end to try to stay away from computers as much as possible beause I get really bad migraines after being on them for too long.

I only had that problem while I was pregnant. Whenever I was on the computer for a bit I'd get really sick to my stomach. Luckily that stopped when the little one was born.
