Gosh, you know. Everytime I look at your drawings... I instantly smile...and I just wish so bad that I could create characters like this. Certainly not to copy but to beable to imagine and bring to life anthropian characters. You make me so jealous.
I really need to start creating... I'm not much of a cartoonist but I want to develop that area. And most of all. I reaaaallly need to develop my imagination skills. That is a key point. You obviously have a BRILLIANT IMAGINATION. I, on the other hand, mostly "copy-draw". I need to see it to draw it. Which sucks

Haha well im glad they have that effect! To be honest i wish i was even BETTER at portraying emotion and expression and all that jazz... I should have been studying BY copying when i first started drawing. I always felt like looking at something and drawing it was cheating, and although that probably helped the way i look at things visually, using reference helps you learn the fastest, so i think you'll get there soon enough!

I also say "and whatnot" for the same thing (well mostly).
yes, I feel like drawing identically to what you see - while very good, is somehow cheating in the creative sense... Still is art though. But certainly not as "imaginative". Drawing from complete imagination is more than a talent. It's like...a gift.

Well, you have to start somewhere, thats where people normally start until they can get a good sense of things, i can only draw from outta my head because i know stuff like anatomy and other basics

I suppose so. I know I haven't really done much study on say dogs or cats (in anatomy) or any animal really for that matter - including humans. I've mostly done faces/portraits of people. So, that's what I'm good at and I can sometimes draw people without a face thoughnot to a really good realistic value. . So I guess you are right. And like they say. "Practice is everything" or "practice makes perfect" though no one can be perfect. They can seem it thoug

Well there ya go! Gosh, i have just been completely stunning myself with my lack of people drawing skills! Its really insane, and scary, i just animated a girls face last night and although i did better than i thought i would, its still hella hard 0__o. Animation is a lot more work than people think!
So do you want to become an animator? or just illustrator?

I think your illustrations of Annabelle (that's her name isn't it?) are nice. I like how she's very ..what's the word... well sloppy but I don't mean in the way she is drawn, just her personality seems really - tom-boy'ish and ready for life, there's no restrictions or real poise or structure, she's just letting loose. I like her.
Animation does take a lot of time. I don't have much experience with it obviously but I don't think any less of it than I do any other art form. Everything takes much work - especially in art...
Erhm, I don't know which I would prefer = Illustrator or Animator. But I really want to TRY (atleast) working myself into one/both of them - and find MY PLACE.

Hahaha, nice. Of course I don't mind! Not at all. I will probably end up messing around with Rascal's design as well. I think I have gotten a little better at designing characters since then. XP Awww, I love little Arlo. He is such a cutie. ^-^
