I can only imagine what if felt like for you to actually be there in person. How I wish I could live in Oregon instead of California.

This just takes my breath away. ThereΒ is a certain aspect of the outdoors that one can only find when in solitude. Some people think it weird to sit down and find the right moment to watch nature unfold in its beauty, but I think it's a privilege to be able to experience it, and you have done a remarkable job of capturing it on camera. If you don't mind my asking, what inspires you the most when you go explore these areas? What is your favorite place to visit, and what motivates you to keep searching for that perfect photo? I think your work is truly amazing, and I wish all the best to you as you continue to find these unique places.

Well thank you so very much for that wonderful comment.Β What most inspires me is newness, that thrill of exploration.Β Often, when I explore, I pretend I am the first person to ever witness the area.Β Of course, as weather is always different, I often am the first, and sometimes only person to witness the events.Β Motivation is hard sometimes to maintain because I am also a full time student in a very demanding degree program and I am often out of practice when I get the chance to shoot.Β I am hoping that I will get a bit more free time after this semester.Β Other than that, I am motivated by the other photographers that I admire and by my general inability to sit still for very long, haha.Β I have many favorite places, but a few include the Sierra Nevada in CA, the unpublished canyons of Southern Utah, and the Grand Canyon.Β I have only recently discovered the Grand, but I am constantly shocked at how large and diverse it is!!

Oh my gosh, this is gorgeous. I love how soft and smooth the snow looks. The purple/pink in the sky and on the water is beautiful; the perfect complement to the deep blue of the oncoming night

Love how you captured the sky and the reflection in the water. Don't think I have seen this spot in the Winter before. Very pretty.

It is a wild place in the winter. The elements are very rough, but obviously, well worth it.
