You do have talent though! And I absolutely agree that gears are quite important, the talent is essentially limited by the performance of the camera and such. Practice til you are ready for a better slr, and then you'll be inspired and have your faith in your talent restored all over again.

let me be very fair and tell you that the lighting is superb. I think the image would be more interesting if you lower your body (and tripod) to almost-ground level and instead of focusing on the drained creak, focus on the tree on the right side instead.just my 2 cents.

oh yes i have a pretty bad camera too so i cant take any closeups :S
