Description As with most of my work recently, I've allowed the painting to evolve by itself. I've taken a different approach to painting since Dynasty. I've been putting the painting aside and walking away from it for a bit and then coming back to it. I'm not fighting the art, like I use to, but we are still figuring out how to communicate with each other.

This painting has gone through many compositional changes. I really like this. The best part about it is that I was not intending this to be a "landscape".

This is reminiscent of a Canadian landscape, which is amazing as you're from Rome! I've purchased it to adorn my office here in Canada because it makes me think so much of home. Continue to let the art to the talking!

you have an amazing talent for control with your paintings (I have shaky hands so I have a hard time getting paintings that have the cleanness yours do) and I love your use of texture in all your canvases. This one is definitely a favorite though because you used my favorite color by far

I love this blue.

There was this beautiful blue bag I wanted to buy, in that exact same tone. It was large and nicely shaped and made of such soft leather. But I was undecided and the next time I passed by the shop it had been sold.

The effect is soft and misty even with the sharp tips of the tree branches and the rectilinear trunks. It's a bit like the effect you get in Photoshop when you duplicate a layer, blur the duplicate, and set it to "overlay" or "soft light" on top of the original layer.

It's a relatively small painting at 18" x 24".

you created some great atmosphere romeo-- perfect chilly clear october night.

I can relate to your approach to not fighting your art. If I reach a point where it stop talking and im not sure what the next part of the equation is I stop working. Eventually my subconscious will figure something out and solve the problem, or at least throw me a couple of clues. And then there are those times when everything is aligned perfectly and it all just falls right into place.
