Looks great.
I tried getting ideas off of thumbnails but they all seem to be broken, cracked, dirty or worse in someone's mouth.

...excellent painting .... reminds me a bit of the feel of the movie 'Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow' ... and silhouetted figure putting me in mind of Frank Lloyd Wright .... nice work !

I love how you've incorporated the old in with so much new... we might be feeling something like this in 50 years.

i like the retro sci fi kind of feel you infused with this.
sort of reminds me of an illustration from an old pulp novel.
So.. from reading your wife's comments I see that you got yourself a wacom. Good for you. I dont know what i would do without my tablet.

Yeah, she got it for me for our Anniversary. I've been wanting one for a while. I like it, it takes some getting use to but I think I'm getting the hang of it. I'm glad the old pulp novel feel comes across. I like that genre...the retro sci-fi, future that never was, steampunk, etc. Part of me wants to do more, but I'm going to wait for the inspiration to hit.
By the way, I like the new avatar.

a great anniversary gift indeed! which one did she get you? I use a 6x8 intuos 3. When I got my first tablet (which was a 4x5 graphire) it did take a little getting used to.. but once i did, things started to flow much more naturally. My dream would be to have one of the Wacom Cintiq screens that you actually draw on -- a good friend of mine owns one and she absolutely loves it.
im quite fond of the retro future of blimps and things with big dials. Of course im a bit of a sci-fi nut anyhow-- torchwood and dr. who being my fave two shows right now.. but i digress.
You should definitely explore more illustrations like this---im sure inspiration will strike.
I like the robot head baby myself-- I composited her out of a few different images for my vintage circus posters and I just like the character-- I guess she has turned into my little mascot of sorts. lol.

She got me a Graphire 4x5 :-]
A friend of mine had a Tablet PC and that was the closest I got to a Cintiq. I can totally see the draw of it (no pun intended).
I really dig the retro future too. I'm glad that Steampunk is starting to get a bigger following.
Robot mascots are a good thing. It took me years to come up with mine :-]

I liked my graphire.
and i've never played with a tablet pc, or a cintiq-- would love to though.
i've noticed that the steampunk movement seems to be blipping up on my radar more and more lately-- it's quite interesting.
im not sure if mine could be considered a robot mascot since there is flesh involved-- i guess it would be more of a cyborg or something. lol.
