Alex with my little Marsstar!Isaac, at the Mars Lighthouse.Okay, so I've been toying with this idea for a loooong time. We know the Mars Star is something like the control of fire from the whole universe, yet nothing happens to Isaac and co even whilst they've got it with them. So basically, this is where my Marsstar!Isaac comes from.
So, the Mars Star is actually possessing Isaac. Still with me? Good.
It lies low until the battle with Saturos at Mercury, where the entire team proceeds to get royally owned. (oh come on, please don't tell me you're buying into the Lighthouse Weakened Him excuse.) Then it is awakened and Alex, who sees its potential, convinces it to aid his goals.
Stuff happens, and then Alex betrays it right at the top of Mars by downing Marsstar!Isaac and then taking away the star...
(There's more detail and all, but I won't bore you with all of that.)
Also, I'd love to say this was a quick sketch, because I certainly intended it that way. But it took way longer than I expected, ha~ah. *exhausted sigh*
I'm quite pleased how Alex came out, though Marsstar!Isaac's design needs a bit of work (and practice OTL).

On the art itself: I'm having a bit of trouble seeing Alex's forshortened arm, and according to the angle I should see more of it. Or maybe all the blue is making my eyes go "no u". '~'

It's the blue and the shading, I think. The sketch was far better than the colour, but since I was 85% done at that point I decided to finish instead of scrapping the whole lot c':

Oh yes, Alex came out wonderfully! And yes, Marsstar!Isaac is very, very ruthless. After all, Isaac is currently channelling the aggression, ambition and impulsiveness of all of Weyard's Mars Alchemy. (with the Stars being the Seal of Alchemy itself, that's a whole load...) C':

Interesting thought. I wonder if the Jupiter Star would have a similar effect on Felix... and if so, would it be worse or better, considering that Mars is allied with Venus while Jupiter is directly opposite?
(There is, living somewhere in the back of my head, an evil Felix who's managed to get both the Jupiter and Mars Stars, and uses them to oppress Weyard.)

Hm, well, there was more to the story, but long comments bore people. To sum things up, the four elements of Alchemy niggled at me because of their planetary naming, and the personalities of each aligned Adept. So I thought they were astrological personifications - so the element of Mars is actually affiliated with aggression, ambition and impulsiveness and so forth. This is why the Fire Adepts have a rashness to them, mhmm.
Well, the Mars Star is essentially the condensed version of all the Mars alchemy in the world or something, right? (well it's like a seal, but that's still...) And basically at some point in the story, Isaac and co were curious enough on their journey to open the bag and Isaac kinda touched it...outside the controlled conditions of Sol Sanctum. Yeah.
