Description Ritsuka (middle): Right, guys?......guys?
Yoji (bottom left): ah....good (thought)
Natsuo (bottom right):Yeah....good.
Soubi: Yes....VERY good....

Yeah, so a little Lovless idea I had while looking through Yun Koga's beautiful artbook. Yes, I'm in the process of learning hiragana, katakana, and kanji! ^^

Soubi, you're such a pervert!
Soubi: Hentai ja nai.
Ritsuka, Natsuo, Yoji: Hentai imasu. -_-;

edit: for those who don't know, in the world of Loveless, kids have ears and a tail until they have intercourse. Then *poof*. Thus, a very happy Soubi.

Ohh, it's good you are learning Japanese! I'm only in level 2! Hehe I know hiragana and katakana, but only like a hundred kanji...*must learn more* Are you self-taught, or taking a class? Anyways good job on your comic.

...>> I only know hiragana and katakana. I know, like, five kanji ^^. But it's been a while now since I've studied any Japanese. Originally, I was teaching myself, but I took a semester of it after that. Once I get more time, or graduate, (whichever comes first >> I want to take more classes and study again. Good luck with your work!

Where do you take classes? :3

Heh. ^^ I take classes at my college, St. John's University in New York. I remember I was so sad because my high school only offered Spanish and French. I had to do a search to find out if my college had clases. I was literally bouncing up and down at my work when I found out. ^^
If you'd like, I can recommend a text book. Genki Integrated Course In Elementary Japanese is pretty good. But really, you just have to be willing to take the time to memorize stuff.....><*

I totally am. D: The problem is (and you've touched on it, thanks!) finding a good source of reliable Japanese that teaches the characters (hiragana, katakana, AND kanji), the colloquial english romanization, and the pronounciation. Not too easy to find, heh. Although I'll look into that book, THANK YOU!!. I'm looking for classes too, although I doubt I'll find any *laughs*

Well, if you're really serious about it, depending on where you live, you might be able to find a one-on-one teacher. Obviously, it would be more expensive, but I'm sure it would be a really good way to learn. You could advertise in the newspaper or at a college or something. ^^ That's how my dad got me a piano teacher. Good luck^^ Remember, most of it is just memorization. Hiragana and katakana were not very hard, they just took a lot of work to memorize. ^^ Kanji, on the other hand, well, me and Kanji are having our......problems.....*^^*

Haha! Wow, I want to learn piano too... dammit I will NOT get jealous...! Too late. :B I hope you're not taking violin lessons either, by any chance. !!

Well, the one-to-one thing is already out, sorry, but thanks for that. xD I guess if I'm THAT desperate, maybe.

How do you (personally) memorize a character, by the way? It might help me. xD;

^^ Actually, I took violin for three years in elementary school. I quit, though, because I liked piano waaaay better. I quit taking lessons for that, too, though after about 4/5? years. I still play everyday when I got back home, though. It's a great instrument and you can usually take a class for it in school, I've seen.

About memorizing, well, I have a HORRIBLE memory for anything other than books and anime ;; so first I memorize how to read them by putting them on flashcards because that is naturally more easy for me. After I have that down, I just.....write and write andwriteandwriteandwrite. Yep. 'Till I memorize how to write each one. I found it's good to start by memorizing one letter group at a time like ma mi me mo mu, then once you get them all down try the randomly.

Well, hope that helped

(No not really. But come on. I am green with envy here. D< )

Um, well, we'll see. o_O Once I actually get my hands on some material to learn from...
