It's cute! It looks like a lot of the children's books I've been seeing in stores recently.
Also: as for category, I think you nailed it, but maybe surrealism instead of conceptual?

thank you!! and that's the kind of vibe i was going for, i'm so glad it came through!!

i'm not sure about surreal, though i almost went that route. maybe storybook would be more fitting?? in the description it mentions that surreal is more 'defying the laws of logic and physics' and i'm not sure this quite fits that description, haha. but thanks for the suggestion, it's really appreciated!!!
