Definitely a damselfly. A dragonfly nymphs lives under water and some species can even eat very small fish. Mature Dragonflies have these big eyes more up front and damselflies have these kinda hammerhead shark heads. Also, they tend to be skinny while dragonflies tend have these kinda V abdomens and thicker thoraxes. The biggest giveaway is usually the wings as they fold behind them kinda like a bird while dragonflies prefer to lay their wings kinda like a jet.
Hoped that helped! I love both dragonflies and damselflies and loved catching them by hand as a kid! Amazing you were able to get such a still shot, they sure are fast!

More than likely to be a damselfly as wings are folded back along abdomen, common trait, as dragonfly tends to sit with wings spread.

No prob. Yeah, you really were lucky! I see them zipping around all the time in our backyard. They never stand still long enough, it's like they're just blue streaks in the air.
