Just to make things clear, this critic IS up to the standard, it's extremely helpful, it's pointing at both good and bad things... It's superb
And I really need some criticizing about the faults of the drawing, you know I learned a lot from hearing such things and it'll help me when I decide to do another drawing kinda like this one..
I wouldn't really figure out the bad things all by myself, the moon is really too simple and unrealistic, also the clouds and so on.. I agree.
I did hurry towards the end, the sky was done in a flash, I rushed a lot and it would be more appropriate to say that the upper half is unfinished..
And thanks for pointing out the good things in detail, I'll be sure to keep this in mind for future projects
So.. One big thank you, and one for a bonus
You wrote an awesome critic!

I'm very glad that I could help and that you found things that you can use. Good luck with all future art projects!

Great job!
What I love the most in this drawing is the shining around the moon.

can feel a whole story unfolding within this little world view... looks very much like a brilliantly detailed illustration from a book.
you want constructive criticisms.... right....I can try.
the shading is superb. I cant fault this at all. the only fault I can see at all is about the angle of the town below, as apposed to the angle of the tower/castle above. perhaps looking at photos from similar angles can help get across what I mean by this. personally I find drawing shots from very high up to be difficult for this very reason. so while I can give constructive criticism I don't think I could achieve the effect I am talking about, without a fair bit more practice. but of course we are working on these things; I can tell you take angles and lighting very seriously. you definitely have what it takes to become well known for what you do.
overall impact and style are top banana.
the feel and complexity of the image are very good;
the shading and depth of field are also very good.
perhaps the bottom end could do with darkening a little, but not too much, as it stands out and looks very snowy down in the bottom edge.
apart from these piddling bones of contention, I cannot find fault with this.
hope this helps, have a wonderful day my friend!

lol thanks...but at the same time, its not that im better in any way, either with drawing or using the English language,
but rather try to think of it in terms of perhaps a little more experienced. I have had to struggle and strive my ass off to get where I am now.... you know that quote by Tyler Durden in fight club? :
"You need a near-life experience! you don't know disaster. its only after you have lost everything that you can be truly resurrected. from here you don't even know what the bottom could be like."
well, I been at the bottom. I learnt from my mistakes and pulled myself up out of an unbelievable gutter. I was always "clever" by school standardsΒ but with such things as drug addiction and being dragged into the dark world of crime, there is no easy path.
that was a long time ago now, and im glad to have experienced it, to help others, but it has left many scars.
I hope you can find your muse and your confidence in ways that don't involve you totalling yourself like I did.
I just try to be as honest as I can be

So that's even more deserving of a respect. Your experiences and the struggling you went through, the things you had to overcome.
I don't know about my muse,Β I'mΒ honestly lost at the moment but it's not the first time so... it's a familiar struggle for me too xD

Umm.. yea, almost got a heart attack when I saw the full comment open up, you're officially awesome now (well you were before too anyways so screw me ).
You really took your time studying it I guess and I'm really grateful, nice observing
And yep, the clouds are weird, that's the main fact xD
Next time I'm making the clouds all movie-end-of-the-world-like so they'll jump at you! But not now, I'm tired. But I've gotten the idea for the next time I'm doing something like that thanks to the critics that have showed me the right way. This sounds all weird but I don't know how to put it any other way
Speaking about ideas..
You gave me another one.. about castle scenery.. I kinda started developing aΒ story a year or so ago and recently I've been working on it again, and if I succeed I'll draw a comic based on it.. Probably gonna release it on some other account I'll make just for that.. But that's not gonna happen soon . Anyways, you gave me some ideas just like that, I kinda feel creative again..
IΒ didn't plan on becoming active anytime soon cause of an ongoing job and the school starting soon.. But who wouldn't respond to such awesome comments.
Thank you for the comments, for checking on my gallery, for this particular critic and everything, and for waking me out of my slumber..
And 'bout the journal you wrote, I don't think you should really change your style, just evolve it and of course try adding some other (fantasy and non-fantasy) creatures in, or anything else that comes to mind, doesn't matter if you're not used to drawing it. Your drawings are really really nice but god knows how much higher you can climb, I'm sure the limit's not even close . Good luck with anything new you try and looking forward to see your new work
Have a nice day/or night/or pizza ice cream !
