This art is for , my way of saying thank you for all the help he did for my fanfiction of Twilight Sparkle and Big Mac.

Anyway, I feel I cannot do justice, so here is what mi amigo gave me to draw with Octavia, straight out of the fic he is writing:

"But the bassist, she was the center of Blues' attention. She was a light gray earth pony, simple enough, but where the rest of the band had on maybe a tie or a hat, she was almost completely clothed. A muted pink fedora sat on top of her head, pushing her ears down and almost completely obscuring her eyes. A black jacket covered her shoulders and went down just far enough to cover up the area on her flank where Blues assumed there must be musical notes or some other symbol to speak for the mare's musical prowess. From underneath the jacket, a long, silky black tail flowed down to the ground, matching the equally long mane that poured out from underneath the hat. Had Blues seen her without her clothing, he would never recognize her.

This apparent desire for anonymity did nothing short of confound the blue colt. She was the most skilled musician on the stage by far. She hit every note with expert precision, swinging and improvising and playing her heart out for the audience, such that even the least musical pony in the bar could tell that there was something moving about the songs, even when the trombones dropped the beat or the trumpets simply stopped playing. The bassist was the heart and soul of the performance, but she would never get credit for it.

But, for all of the romance and mystery Blues built up around the mare as he watched her play, one thing kept nagging at the back of his head. Something even more peculiar to him than her skill, her dress, or her composure.

Never before had he seen a jazz bassist play with a bow."

I await this fan-fic.

This was a challenge to draw, ink and color, but I learned from the last time I drew cello pony .
