My favorite piece so far. Mainly because I used conte.You can totally achieve a smoother texture and richer black. I'm loving conte.
Done mainly for Ryerson portfolio criteria of a tubular structure in freehand drawing.
Finished March 2010.

Arches 90lb. Hot Press.

Very nice. Did you use this for your portfolio? I'm building one too right now, but I'm very nervous about "original work." Seems like all the art i did in my visual arts program went to waste because I used references

i applied to the ryerson int-des prog three years ago. And did the same test you've done. judging from your example folio pieces, you're most likely gonna get accepted lol.
