Description I've been holding back on this and several other railroad pictures in my somewhat random collection, hoping that I would turn up some of the notes that my wife's grandfather was notorious for keeping. So far no luck. Can anyone out there help me?

It was clearly labeled as having been taken in 1952. At the time Ellsworth Bogart was in the Air Force based near Laon, France but I know from several other pictures that have already been identified that he traveled to Switzerland at least once.

I'm afraid I have no idea either, but it's a great picture.

Even though I have no idea what it could be, I still very much like this shot

Thanks. Els had a lot of mediocre pix. I liked this one too.

I've spoken with a friend, and he told me it's either a BB 300 or a BB 4700, at Bordeaux.

Thanks! Unfortunately no matter how I try and enlarge it I can't really tell if the number board has 3 or 4 digits.

I can't help you with an ID, but it's a cool picture anyway.

Thanks Hoyt. I just wish the photographer was still alive. He would love what I have been able to do with his photos. He saw them as history worth preserving and sharing.

Thanks for posting them. I haven't met any French railfans on this website yet.
