A pair of MA's performing one of the primary duties of a Master at Arms. Pass and ID either walking onto the base or driving you'll need to first present valid credentials at the gate. If you want to get onto any US instilation regardless of the branch the first people you'll see are going to be those like these MA's. Some of their other duties include responding to calls and starting an investigation into a crime, Speed enforcement as well as many other things a cilivian police officer will do. Just like with the civilian Dept's MA's that prove themselves have the chance to join specialized units of their own like becoming a MWD handler or joining a mobil security team (Navy version of a SWAT team).

Before going to OCS this was my job and it is the best enlisted rate there is in the USN. (Ask anyone in the Navy what the best rate is guaranteed they will pick their own that they served as )
