The white/black is a really nice effect, especially for this one because to me, I kind of interpret a type of concept that fits well with it. And I love photographs with concepts -to me, those are the best.

and well deserved prizes. this is such a wonderful peice. the lighting outside the screen makes which is glowing on to her makes this wonderfully drreamlike. almost as though the screen isn't so much a metal screen but more a TV screen where the pixels are gigantic and tube is casting it's light on the model. focus is astounding and show a real mastery of DOF. great shot +fav...

yes i have. i took 2 shots and then it went down again. errors 99.... but i will get a replaceable camera tomorrow.

Error 99 is a electrical contact error, usually with the lens contacts!

The high contrast near the cenetr of attention is a grate tool to use. Definatley gets the people to focus on the subject. The top view is a very smart idea giving a more sorrowed feel towards why she is there and trapped. Overall a nice composition colabarated really well!

Like it a lot buddy. The lighting is close to perfect, and the dark parts adds alot to this photograph.
You could've worked more on the composition though, the wall to the right brings this photograph abit out of balance.

I really love this image... It's so beautiful and at the same time very sad... To imagine there are in fact innocent people, locked up in prisons, without any kind of freedom... I think the girl impresses that innocence in this picture... And I would like to add that the angle you used is perfect: you and the girl see the houses, that makes the "pain" of being prisonned more intense...
