Happy new year!
I hope you all have a great 2018 
I dedicate this to my watchers and supporters, thank you all for supporting me in 2017, I really appreciate it and hope to support you guys as best as I can in 2018 too . I look forward to sharing more photo manipulations with you all, and also experimenting more with different things this year. I have a lot of projects planned for 2018, excited to get started! 
About this piece
I wanted to make something that had to do with leaving the past behind for the new year. Basically this is a woman looking at her younger self through a portal to her past that is now closed and does not work anymore. I chose for her younger self to look a bit fearful/sad to show she is leaving that fearful/sad young girl behind. I spent a lot of time on this, probably the longest I've spent on something in a while - the PSD and full file size are gigantic as well, so I will be turning this into a large poster soon

This background is gentle and beautiful.........the colours muted and soft yet the lines are strong. She seems lost in her world, lost in her reality, lost in her sense of time and place. I love the blue within the mirror. Are all the pieces digital or are some drawings by pen pencil etc ?

Very creative up on a balcony like this. The composition and the angles are well done! I like the epic landscape backdrop against this scene... The symbolism and work in the mirror is excellent too! Really great work! !!!!

Interesting. So she can actually travel to her younger self, but because the year is over the portal is closed or is it always closed and more of a viewer into the past? Either way, love the look of the portal itself! Time well spent to say the least

It used to be open and she could travel to her past (and did quite often), but not anymore. It has changed from open to closed overnight, and she can only view her past self/memories. Thank you!

Interesting....It makes me think of one that dwells in the past because of a certain event, but after deciding to move on they remember, learn, and think of the past from time to time, but not dwell on it...You are most welcome
