Description This took a long time to draw, actually. I don't usually paint realistically but I'm trying to get the hang of it. It's really difficult. D:

Anyway, I hope you like it more than I do. I know it's not good to put yourself down over silly things like this, but I can never be completely satisfied with my finished artwork. The problem is I'm too lazy to do anything about it.

I think the shading on the head is amazing, but the foxes body lacked a little

Lovely colors. Dazer is so cute :3 Ember's face looks a bit short, although whether that's perspective or just me not looking at reference when I draw, I cant tell. Good job!

Welcome! I find it really helps when I'm doing realistic to look at reference, and when I can't be bothered to sometimes, it it shows. Although it's fun to just draw without really caring whether your stuff is accurate.

Yes, I usually do that too. Sometimes a little stylization is nice, though.

Yes. Stylization is lots of fun Although it's good to be conscious that you're doing it. Yay for artistic license. Cause people can't really say that 'that's not how you draw an XXX' 'cause then the artist says 'I have artistic license bwhahaha'

I love this picture, BTW.

I agree, however sometimes through lack of awareness and anatomical knowledge people develop interesting methods and styles of art.
They are so very muzzley and vague, these artistic expectations and values we place on the products of peoples' creative minds. The majority of which were probably made with little - if any - similarities to our own personal rules and opinions through which we regard the artistic world around us. As one of those beatle guys once sang, let it be, let it be! It's not that our perspectives don't matter, but that our perpectives are not their perspectives and like two equally beautiful colours of the rainbow they may blend to create something new and exiting, perhaps even contrasting even more beautifully to the world around them!

I don't even know what I'm talking about. I'm ranting. Ranting! I hardly ever rant.
