Adult female Northern Saw-Whet Owl. She is a little feathery floof, and only weighs about ~95 grams. She is blind in one eye and serves as an education bird at a raptor rehabilitation facility.Related content

She's a fun one to bring out in front of kids... but they always ask the same questions: "Is she a baby owl?" followed by the perennial favorite for all birds of prey "what does she eat?" She loves mice, of course, and I have an adorable picture of her proudly holding up a mouse 1/2 her size that I keep meaning to upload. Even the tiniest rodents look huge in her talons!
