This is so nice! I really love how this piece simply radiates warmth - it's got a very pleasant feel to it. And it also has a very distinctive sunset vibe to it. I think Octavia's hair is especially detailed and well done! Really great artwork!

Β Octavia is one of my favourite ponies, so if it had been her alone, I would have thoroughly enjoyed this anyhow; the details, the background, everything is perfect down to a tee, and I am absolutely thrilled about it. This really reminds me of the beginning scene in the Bioshock Infinite DLC, in which Elizabeth is enjoying Paris. I would have to say the croissant and the wine is what does it, as that was what Elizabeth was eating as well.
Something I would have to say you did beautifully was the effects of light. The rosy glow that softens everything is really well done, and the smooth shadows of her coat contrast nicely with the sharp refinement of her hair and draw the attention to the face. The light passing through the wine was a nice touch, and I feel like textures like that of the croissant and the folds of the tablecloth are really pleasing to see and it is easy to imagine them as lifelike.

Great job on the hair. You get a watch for sure. Oh, a few pointers: fade the shadow of the wine glass as it gets further from the glass itself, vary the size of the folds of the table cloth, and don't make each one parallel to each other, and be sure to have consistency in your shadows with respect to your light source; the shadow on the table from the hair would suggest a light source behind her to the left side of the canvas.

The glass is only semi-transparent, so it does, but it's a soft one, showing more around the edges of the glass, where the light has to pass through more of the glass to get through it. Here are some photo referencesΒ www.google.com/search?q=wine+gβ¦
