I was not really a fan of Terra from the comics, especially how things were turning out.Β And the way they did her for the cartoon never really made much sense to me ... one minute she was a friend and ally, next she was a traitor, then she was missing those days of friendship ... and still she fell underneath Slade's control.Β Perhaps I'm not supposed to "get" why she did what she did.

Well, she became a traitor after knowing the Titans for a few hours. Β By the time she really got to know them, she was in too deep with Slade. Β By then, she might have tried to back out, but then she was discovered, and it all went bad. Β It was a good arc, i think.

Mm ... I will respectfully disagree with you on that and a large portion of why is that the arc escapes me.Β To me, it seemed that she hated them one minute and then wanted to be their friend.Β Very confusing.Β In the comic, it was explained that she was bad, pure and simple.Β It might have been that way in the cartoon, but it didn't come across to me very clearly.Β That is where the writers failed.
