If I was better with my sewing machine, I would use this to make a laptop case.

What do you use for the eyes? Are those beads?

They are actually buttons with the hole underneath.

So, do you have to cut a hole to put in this button? I'm using beads but I find they stick out too much.

The buttons are pretty flat. I get them at Walmart and they are maybe a 1/4 tall from bottom to top.

WOW! Thanks for showing! btw, what's a seam allowance? can anyone message me what it is if it's k :] thnx!

a seam allowance is an extra 1/4 inch of fabric around the edge of the pattern shape. Basically it gives your sewing machine, or you, room to sew the edges together so the desired shape isn't smaller, or malformed.

Hey there! I totally adore this!
Just wondering...did you sew on the eyes and mouth or did you stick them on?
Thanks
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
chronicdoodler In reply to complete-oonglish [2008-11-25 19:31:21 +0000 UTC]
the mouth is a red and white fabric that I cut out the mouth shape and sewed or appliqued the teeth to it. (tight stitches kind of like embroidery look). Then I sewed the complete mouth to the body.
The eyes are special buttons that I got a walmart. the hole of the buttons are underneath so you can sew it on without the thread being seen.
but no glue, I am pretty sure glue might not work well with the fuzziness of fleece.
