I love how most of the detail comes from straight up painting and not relying on the linework.

Yeah, I didn't wanted to hurt the overall shape with too much linework ... and it's more fun doing it with painting instead of "outlining".

Its something I want to acheive in my own work, I am referring to minimizing detail in the linework phase of my illustrations but its hard for me.

Oh man, ich muss diese Bücher unbedingt lesen!! Ich wünschte, hier wärs wie in England z.B., wo die Bücher sofort als Taschenbücher erscheinen! Ich hab kein Geld für die gebundene Ausgabe... Muss ich wohl bis frühestens Weihnachten warten, dass mir die jemand schenkt! ^^

Ja, die gebundenen Ausgaben sind schon immer etwas schmerzhaft für den Geldbeutel. Habe auch vorrangig Taschenbücher - aber Weihnachtsgeschenk klingt doch gut.

Keine Ahnung - habe bisher auch nur die charakter-beschreibungen gelesen.
Aber ich schätze, wenn dir die Wellenläufer gefallen haben dürften dir auch andere Bücher von Kai gefallen...vermute ich jetz mal frech.

Sehr gut frech vermutet, die Merle Trilogie fand ich grandios. Leider hab ich es noch nicht geschafft die Wellenläufer zu lesen. Aber hab immer schön deine Deviations verfolgt.
