I finally finished!!!! This took me took me literally only 2 hours to finish haha. I just finally got the motivation to work on my own art!!
Its feels so goooooooood XD I did the background with coffee (my first time trying it) and the horse in black sharpie and white gel pen.
the reference i used is no longer on dA! I've looked everywhere for it so please!!!! IF YOU FIND THE ORIGINAL PHOTO PLEASE NOTE ME SO I CAN GIVE PROPER CREDIT!

since i couldn't find the reference after not working on this for so long i had to draw the entire body minus the head from memory. i had already drawn the head and a bit of the mane before i stopped, i still had the reference then lol

It's beautiful! I really like the technique you used with coffee for a background and shading and highlights with a sharpie and white gel pen. The shadows and light are great and the horse looks so alive.

Hi, The original photo is by Laurie Neron.
The image that was on dA was actually stolen by someone pretending to be Laurie. The real Laurie Neron was contacted via Facebook and the account !LoNeron22 here on dA was found to be a fraud.
Laurie's photos are actually not meant for use, and she was very upset about the whole episode. You may want to contact her and ask her if you may keep this piece up on dA, with credit to her - as I understand it, she has allowed some people to keep their work up, but not all.
