It just occurred to me that I hadn't posted a lot of Arthelle and Cassia doodles I did.Arthelle is the horned bloke, Cassia is the squat woman in armour, Kezia is the skinny woman with the satchel of shiny things, and Modeste down the bottom is Arthelle's daughter, the elegant horned woman. Also a couple of bonus Nubs in the middle there.
The armour drawings were very rough ideas, like I scribbled a cape over top of my drawing, it wasn't planned and isn't even drawn properly but I liked the cape on her in red, so I kept it for future reference.
Armour has never been my strong point so I needed to try make it as simple as possible so I can actually redraw it XD

Ahoy, for my lines I use the crayon tool in paint tool SAI, for the colours its just a flat coloured base with some brush textures where needed.
I'm a very basic person, not a whole lot of tricks up my sleeve heh

thanks a bunch! been looking for a good brush to use for linework and crayon gives a great pencil texture! plus it made me discover how great the oil colour and acrylic are for blood lol

The shiny things Kezia has are souls, she likes to collect them but if they aren't visually pleasing enough she probably will eat them or dispose of them in some manner. She just likes the really shiny ones which are usually from the older, well traveled folk. I need to work on her more and figure her out better but that's the gist
And thank you, I designed Modeste with these lady statues in mind, my Nana had a whole heap of them around her house and I liked them

Wow! I just love your sense of design and the amazing variety in the characters and figures you draw 
I'm an aspiring concept artist and currently trying to get better at drawing the figure, poses, motion and such... I'm doing lots of 1 minute gestures... If you'd be so kind - could you elaborate a little about how you reached this level of mastery in those things?

Ah wow thank you so much, I'm not sure what I did exactly because it really was just me drawing a lot over a period of time, it just kind of naturally developed as I took in more inspiration from various places.

Right now the only other drawings I have posted are some very rough, hard-to-see traddy sketches , sadly.
But all I've really written about her is that she collects souls and hoards them as precious stones, she likes the most rich and colourful ones so she mostly takes from the elderly, travelers or just people who have lived full lives in general.
