First game, he's all kinds of heroic, but goofy. Tries a bit too hard. Not too wise, but tries to learn.
Second Game, he's gotten smarter, but with his smarts, he's grown some restraint. Not enough to drown his personality, but enough to put a damper on it, by comparison to the first game.
Third Game, he's been around for about... 5 centuries. He's grown very tired. He's wise, and learned from his mistakes, but is caught up in his sorrow and despair. He's become too sober. He tries to keep up the 'I'm the Hero' bit, but it's obvious he doesn't feel it anymore...
