Nice capture, B+W works really well, sad that you can see the amount of degradation that is occuring, Alcatraz is a place i'd want to visit, not for the history but for the setting for "The Rock" movie

Sean Connery...a national treasure
You may go there because of the movie but once there the history of the place will totally take over. The place is amazing and very windy. It's been a while since I've been there, I want to go back but with a better camera this time.

Oh how I LOVE this shot! Being able to see sky through the windows allows us to see just how much that tower has been through and how the years have been on it because it doesnt have a roof or any glass in the windows. Great contrast...

my eyes first fell on the lone dead plant on the edge of the cliff and then panned to the tower and i thought it was too creepy not to be perfect.

you remind me of a friend of mine. we want to the Winchester Mansion and i was taking pictures and she kept yelling at me to stop because apparently you can capture (in the literal sense) ghosts in them...hehe
