nice, great shot! very good angle, i like it a lot. too bad that the depth of field isn't bigger.

what do you do to get the maximum depth of field on your nikon? u use charts, or manually, or...? i'm having a bit of trouble with that...

Just set aparture priority or manual mode and set the lowest f number. Kit lenses aren`t really good at this.
