For those who don't know, Earthquake 8.9 and Tsunami hit Japan...and boom, many stamps of "pray for Japan" are on dA in a short time o.o
but honestly, I DON'T give a fuck about people praying around.
Earthquake is a normal natural disaster that can happen any time and everywhere.
and that praying won't help anything, it never helped
I'd rather donate, that helps something
any help is always welcome!I know that everyone can't donate... so the best thing is to be optimistic
I just hope that people will care about themselves

I think it's okay to love anime, and japan if you do it in a decent way.
I do the same thing. I've put SO MUCH time and research into japanese culture and how they are as people and what they do ect, I also hate how anime is shown in a bad way/light just because of how some people portray it.
Yes not all anime is decent or good, but to me it's legit just cartoons from japan

People are just SO stupid about the cartoons, and I even see it as art. And I love the ones with meaning, good characters ect, or ones that are just funny and weird! I also wish people understood the term weeaboo better.

Japan is a developed country while Haiti is a poor country so the Haitians will got in a lot of trouble when the earthquake hit their country ^^lll

Yeah, the Philippines, particularly in Mindanao, are in deep trouble right now. The storm left the people there homeless, then the lack of food and medication are killing the survivors slowly. I'm lucky I live in the city, particularly in the capital.
Anyways, I think Japan can quickly recover from the disaster. Heck, their technology and economy are more advanced than Philippines and Thailand, I think they can patch it up.

People need to also realize that Japan and the entire ring of the pacific (aka the ring of fire) and is an incredibly seismic area. Its also an area that experiences large amounts of earthquake and volcanic activity. I was actually in that area when the earthquake hit as I was stationed on one of the carriers. We did send supplies over to help and the pictures were devastating.

Well, I'm all for people donating money, food, and medical supplies. Yes, it helps. But I still believe that praying may still help, granted it won't "magically" repair the shattered lives and homes, but I believe it's more of a spiritual thing, to give strength to those in need - whatever faith they have. Who knows right? Maybe those people in those tragedies feel stronger because someone is praying for them and they are in someone's heart.
That's just my opinion and I felt I needed to say it; I'm not saying you're wrong or anything. You're allowed to voice yourself... but so am I.
