Yeah.... I agree... the other version just sat there forever ... I felt, at the time that I drew it, Β that it was a real step back for me. I kept running into problems that I had conquered or learned to work around...... and I felt like I was looking at a dressed up version of one of my High School drawings....Β 
So I just kind of stopped drawing on it, and put it to the side .... well not side exactly ... I remember almost using it as a make shift plate when I wanted some potato chips .... I didn't but not because I cared about the drawing .... it just seemed less clean than a plate should be .....
but the other day I ran across it and I kinda liked the little guys peeking out of the bushes .... so I reworked it .....
I fall to the side of liking it now, but I still see a lot of the old problems so ... ? it isn't a complete win .............. Still I am happy I revisited.
At least it isn't a failure now. Β

This is hauntingly beautiful. I love it! I adore the way you draw trees and their bark as well as limbs. It's enchanting. I also love the contrast of the dark atmosphere with the colors you've chosen.
