It's been a couple weeks since I've posted one of these inked pictures, but I had an idea last night, so I put pencil and pen (in this case a micron pen rather than a dip pen) to paper. The character is the protagonist of the novel I'm editing, Mealla's Door (working title), Eibhlin (Eve-lin) in one of the scenes from the novel. If I ever finish editing this thing and decided to illustrate it, I would probably use a semi-Western style, toning down clear manga stylistic elements, to hold a broader appeal. That's one of the things I was practicing here. I have a ways to go, and I made some mistakes on the lines and shading, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out.
