Somehow interesting to see that Canada split up, while Mexico managed to stay in one piece. I do wonder what the fracturing of the US would mean on other continents. Also, with NATO being mentioned here, are we talking about IRL's NATO, or does this stand here for 'North-American-Treaty-Organization' ?

I don't really have much of an idea what happened in the wider world. If I had to say, Mexico (generally) was left alone by the Soviets/Chinese because they weren't considered much of a threat. They have militarized substantially since the collapse of the US in hopes of remaining out of any sphere. Outside North America, most of the former Western bloc has fallen apart. This is not to say that they have all become communist. Britain, I think, is still part of NATO. NATO still exists in a truncated form and still stands for the same thing.

This is a pretty interesting map, though I do find it a little funny that you mention the White Horse prophecy, since the church doesn't regard it as doctrine.
Also, what's going on in Canada?

Yeah, I'm aware of that, but I decided TTLs church moved towards nationalism and actually sort of adopted the Prophecy. The fact that the rump US is run out of Salt Lake City has strengthened the faith of many Mormons and helped gain converts. Of course, its a vicious circle, of sorts. The capital didn't just move to Utah, it was the influence of Mormon officials, themselves influenced by the prophecy that made it happen.
Canada managed to survive later than the United States, but ended up breaking apart itself. My thinking is that the Canadian successors are as follows: Northwestern Pacific People's Republic (Soviet bloc), Plains Confederacy (US-aligned, with Mormonism spreading there), Ontario (Soviet bloc), Quebec (leftist, but between China and the USSR), Maratimes (American-aligned).

Yeah, I think Mormonism is really neglected in alternate history. It seems like the same things that happened in OTL always happen in timelines. That or some nonsensical revolts out of the blue.

Yeah. Even though I believe my church to by true, having some things stay the same in ATL's is weird to see (like where they go, forming there own country, etc.) Funnily though I'm guilty of it myself. I'm working on a timeline where, despite the PoD being in the 1500's, the church still forms and is more or less the same as OTL. Then again, I don't intend on the timeline to be realistic and instead be just a world for my story ideas to take place in.

Have to say, this still looks pretty well thought out.

Islam...are these mostly African-Americans and Arabs?

My thinking was that a more troubled domestic situation in the United States led to a stronger presence for Black Islam movements. When New Afrika was formed, a large number of African-Americans from other parts of the former United States fled there and settled in generally contiguous areas. These Muslims have proselytized heavily and definitely have got some converts since 1989. There is very little immigration to New Afrika (except for some Americo-Liberians), so there are very, very few Arabs.
EDIT: Mobiyuz is pretty much right on the nose.

Oh, I remember Dearborn, Michigan has a lot of Arabs.

Right, I'd forgotten that I showed that area as Muslim. Yeah, that's what happened there. There are also some Nation of Islam members left that did not emigrate to New Afrika.

Assuming a more militant Malcolm X-style movement, probably.
