From a genetics standpoint, cousin marriage actually isn't that risky. In the case of a first cousin relationship, the chance of birth defects rises by 2%, similar to a woman giving birth after age 40.
It only gets bad when there's a history of intermarriage, or they're closer than cousins.

But from a moral standpoint, thatβs just wrong. Whether it be a second, third, or fourth cousin. You just donβt marry a relative. Biological or not, itβs not right. Same as Step-Sister in my opinion.
