Well that's a pretty good pretend right there!
In Inkscape you can draw freehand filled objects so it should be pretty similar to the lasso tool, just without quite so many layers. And Inkscape is totally open source.
That's all theory of course, so I must try it out for real real.

i should try out inkscape! I am terrible at learning new programs though. I always work with the oldest and simplest stuff I can. I am just too old I suppose! I can't be taught new tricks! I'm so glad you enjoyed what I did though <3 that really makes my day <3 cheers <3
