I have come to the conclusion that I will be using this as the background for my painting of Shamash chastising his little brother, Sirush. It fits well with the theme, the sun in the background will be shining through Shamash's neck crest and highlighting the two of them.

...No one need ever know that it was taken next to a main road...SHHHH!!

...Hope it turns out ok. *fingers crossed.

It was deliberate too. Just because I had a tripod
I had to clean the camera after it too, it got quite wet on one attack

Just because you're standing near a puddle, does not give people the right to splash you! Shamash might just toss the offenders into a puddle, or maybe a convenient lake nearby, if there was one. Shirush may chew on their tires, or windsheild wipers, maybe tear up some upolstery...

Yes I have, and you just need a bit of polish...Practice, practice, practice! ...and may I suggest, when drawing fur, if you want it to look more realistic, soften up the edges, so it doesn't look quite so spikey, unless of course that's what you're going for. Cheetahs are soft afterall, just try drawing individual lines for the fur. Check out my drawings and you can see what I mean. If you would like, you can use one as reference to practice, just credit me if you decide to submit the finished piece to DA. Don't forget the lighting source, and using lights and darks to create depth, if you stick to one shade, drawings tend to look flat.

Just some suggestions, feel free to ignore them completely Have fun!

...Oh, and my painting is close to done, just need to paint Sirush, and he's pretty little coz I'm only doing an 11 x 14 canvas. Right now I'm on a bit of a break because the paint is being poopy and not co-operating. So I thought I'd best put it aside for a bit before I continue. If I should happen to finish it tonight, I will submit it. Fingers crossed!

Sorry to disappoint you, but I couldn't quite finish the painting last night. It's almost there, but I developed a pounding headache, so I gave up rather than ruin it. Should be able to finish today though Yay!

...and paint most definately can be poopy. for some reason it just wouldn't co-operate! Frustrating!! Grrr! When I started painting Sirush it wouldn't even stick to the canvas, kept beading up on me! Finally got it to work, but gave up. It's hard to paint such small subjects...darn Sirush was no doubt being difficult on purpose just to bug me!

I shall try again shortly! Wish me luck... Hopefull Shamash will get his troublesome little brother to be good today!
Maybe if I promise him a treat of some sort...hmmm.

...well, back to drawing, I have the outline for Shamash, now on to Sirush sucking up May just do a detailed pencil drawing of this instead of color, not sure yet.

I have the rough drawing done, but I've been helping my oldest daughter go through her closet to try and get rid of stuff accumulated over the last 19 years! Talk about a chore! Maybe I should have Sirush just burn it all!

We've even found some baby stuff! The girl is a packrat! Sirush would love to get ahold of some of it, especially the art supplies! ...and maybe a few shiny baubles for his hoard...
