Description
Merritt, the twin brother of Mercy, is the more reserved and shy of the twins, rivaling his sister's more confident and cheerful personality. He struggles to speak up for himself sometimes despite his finesse in battle. He's more selfish than Mercy is, but follows his sister's lead and beliefs on loyalty, even though he wouldn't necessarily feel beholden to anyone on his own. Because of his shy disposition, he's easy to bully... Though, should you try, you'll face the wrath of his twin sister.

Merritt plays the more offensive roll in combat with Mercy

He and his sister were explorer treasure hunters! They put together some gems and stones to make the broach and sash that they wear. Little fun fact, the capes are each other's blankets they used when they were younger!
After getting into a nearly fatal situation with a dark-type pokemon, Cait the Purrloin wound up rescuing the both of them, to which they felt indebted to him... Though, Mercy was more open about feeling indebted. She took it upon herself to offer both herself and Merritt to serve Cait as repayment. Cait objected at first, not wanting to be constantly reminded about going against his adopted disposition, but found the idea of having thief henchmen/assistants desirable. Merritt wasn't thrilled about it, though he did feel indebted to the Purrloin as well.
