Description
This is a special commission someone requested as a surprise for their friend. Spitfire is their friend's favorite pony so we had the OC we created for him racing around with her at the Wonderbolt Academy.
I decided to go with something of a fisheye, distorted perspective to make it interesting. I think it came out pretty well.
I don't paint very often but I think I'm still getting better all the time. This commission was a great chance to see just what I could do and I'm happy with the results. I really should paint more, I think I'm finally happy enough with my skill at this type of painting that I should produce more stuff to share with everyone. My only hesitation is that it take a lot of time and effort to get results like this. I guess we'll see if I can work out a way to produce work more consistently. If I do maybe I'll learn to get good results much faster.
Since this is a commission, please no modifying this art. No cropping Spitfire and posting it on Derpybooru or anything. Share it if you want, but don't modify it.

Part of why I accepted this commission was because I was impressed that they would go out of their way to do that for their friend. Both the commissioner and their friend for whom this was intended seemed to love it, so I'm happy!
