Description Colored concept design for Absol. This is actually my second try at Absol, the first being [link]
I only did the lineart, my friend did the coloring.

This time around though, I didn't want Absol to be all gloomy and down, so I gave her a perky, exciting posture. I also sort of duplicated the coloring style I did with Arceus, though I didn't go all out and do every individual line... That would have killed me.

For some reason this design makes me think of a Borzoi. It's really neat. I love the anatomy.

Thank you. I guess it's because with the first sketch I did, I was referring a picture of a Borzoi because I just loved the form and it reminded me of Absol's nature.

Well you did a good job letting that transfer over into your drawing. I think it's a pretty good look for Absol.

Totally. Though, I wouldn't mind trying out what Absol would look like as a feline. Can't hurt to experiment.

Yeah, that would be neat as well! I think I've seen one done as a sheep before, which also looks pretty cool.

Experimenting can be fun. Especially since Pokemon are such interesting creatures, even when there design is simple.

Thank you. And I think so too. Pokemon has such potential to be more than what it is, but I guess the company wants to keep it geared towards little kids.

Oh boy... Where do I start? Lol. Actually, It's Feraligatr. Used to be Blastoise, but once the 2nd gen came out, I was won over by Totodile, and then finally the last evolution. If I had a second fave, which would be hard to pick, it would be between Ampharos and Houndoom.
