Silver can still run at supersonic speeds rivaling that of the other Sonic characters. In fact, he's probably the fastest Flight character (maybe tied with Wave).

Wave is from the Sonic Riders games, yes. And she's pretty fast for a flight character, but I think Silver MIGHT be faster.

Nah, I mean on the ground too. Well, as far as Sonic characters go, their speed on an Extreme Gear pretty much matches their land speed, at least in comparison.

Yeah, pretty much all Sonic characters can. Actually, correction, most of them can NEARLY hit it. Sonic, of course, breaks it easiest.

I guess...depending on which game it is, but, from what I remember, Silver was the psychic character and nothing more. It seemed more like the Speed characters in most games were Sonic, Shadow, Blaze, and Amy (in Heroes). Sonic and Shadow can naturally hit those speeds. Silver I only remember running at a slow place while making up for it with his telekinesis.

That was only in 06, and Silver was actually supposed to be faster in that game, but, as we know, Sega never finished it. If you've played the Sonic Rivals games, for example, he can keep up with Sonic and Shadow at least, Knuckles too, and even surpass them at times. But if you've never played the Rivals games I won't count it against you.

That's what I mean, I think it would've added more to the series if they would've balanced the power set out. While I wouldn't want everyone to go at a snails pace, there's really no need for everyone to go supersonic.
Plus, if you think about, it kinda defeats the purpose of Sonic himself.

Well, to be fair, they don't all go at the speed of sound. Sonic is the fastest and the only one that truly can break the sound barrier. And the speed does differ from character to character. Such as, Knuckles is slower than Blaze, Rouge is faster than Vector, etc. But I kind of see where you're coming from, but it is balanced in the sense of the universe.
