Haha, this is probably even less than 25% of the original size. I like to work in hi resolution
This should make a decent wallpaper as I think I've left it large enough but not too large. I'm considering uploading a transparent png of just Lisa at, say, 50% (maybe less) so that people who don't want this background can have it, or can put her on their own background, but we'll see.Anyway, I think I want to do more DOA girls, so hopefully I will. Lisa's skin tone was tricky. D: I still think I got it wrong. Oh yes, and ignore that shit BG. I so badly need to work on my backgrounding work.

I love the warm, sweet look she has on her face, it matches her personality to a T!
I had so much fun playing with her in DOA volleyball, LOL she gave Hitomi (My character) so many cute gifts. <3
I think you did a fantastic job with the swimsuit and earings that you gave her too, seeing as red IS her favorite color.
BTW, you'r background isn't crap! Far from it!
The only problem I see is that it doesn't quite look like water.
Though I DO LOVE the rainbow effect that you gave it!
My advice would be to google pictures of a beach sunset and study those, and try to apply what you see into your drawings.

Haha, I'm so glad you noticed! I chose to give her a red suit since she likes red, but I'm not sure I like that color on her skin. Still, what Lisa wants, Lisa gets. ^^
Thank you for the advice. I actually did google some sunset water scenes and they just looked so daunting to try and I was sooo ready to be done with the picture, I just said "Bah, next time" and slapped that down. I don't feel I put much effort into it compared to what I usually do. Thank you for the advice as well as your kind words!
Unfun as it may be, I really should just sit down and try to capture a landscape picture as well as I can. I hate working on backgrounds with as much detail as I do the characters, but if I want my pictures to pop more, I'm just going to have to suck it up!

I know how you feel, though I'm the exact opposite, I'm GREAT with backgrounds but I absolutely SUCK at drawing people.
LOL, I've been putting in some practice and have been getting better though!

As I looked at this, I remembered an advert for a certain brand of yoghurt that was on tv a year or two back. A bunch of beautiful women were eating pots of the yoghurt, and the female narrator said 'It won't make you gorgeous, of course. This lot were born with it. Lucky cows.'

Well... her right arm is annoying me a bit. I'm not sure if it should be further away from her body or not. To me, it looks as if it's resting right behind her back, and that cannot be comfortable.

With me, it's more an issue of perspective. I know her body is turned slightly, and I just sat on the floor in the same position to see how the arms should look. I still think that right arm should look like it's further away from her body, and it looks bent in your picture. It ought to be straight out. Having it bent like that doesn't really look natural.
