Here on your request from the hospital.
I take care of most of the comic request, since your request relate to a comic/manga, here i am.
To draw people in different angle... that practice actually has little to do with anatomy or real life figure. Figure drawing will train you to draw details of a human figure more accurately... but comic art is really "shape based"
In order to turn your characters around and start drawing them in different angle, try doing this excerise:

Draw A very cartoony Mr. Smily first, remember he's just circles with tubes, and do him in all sort of dramatic actions you want your characters to do. Practice a few rounds until it looks right.
Remember only ONE rule, anything that's closer to the camera, is bigger, and parts of the body that's further is smaller.
Use that to practice for a while, then try to use more complicated shapes on the Mr. Smily, with the same dynamic poses you drew before in practice.... then practice until you see it makes sense.
Then finally, when you are confident enough and feel you can grasp the shape, move on to try to put your characters into that model you already practiced with.
You may see more problems when you first introduced your characters to it. Their face may warp, their hairline may not be in the right place.
If you continue to have that trouble, I suggest you go to take an egg from the fridge, literally draw marker mark over it to show the hairline, eyes, nose and mouth, and use THAT as your reference when you draw the face turning.
An anime/manga style face still have more details than an egg, but an actual egg can give you good clues on how to execute your figures.
