Description
I missed drawing dog-people. So I did it some more.My boyfriend Eric volunteered to be the victim for this trial-run.
I was trying to mess around with different programs and methods of working, and finally just defaulted back to Flash and PS. I am spoiled by my vector inking.
I've only got one commission left of my previous batch, so I was thinking about taking a few commissions of this sort.

Such a witty and cool expression on his face. It's always fun to see how we personify animals with human characteristics. I love the bright blue of the eyes against the face. The coloring is so soft and the background is so pleasing in its mix of whirling colors~

Vector inking is.. awesome. If you can enjoy doing it.
Personally, I think no other digital inking is quite as good as vector, but for people who can't stand editing bezier curves its hell on earth xD

Flash makes it a little more intuitive, which is nice. I used to ink in Illustrator, and hated having to do so much editing to my lines or use the pen tool so much. But with Flash I can generally just freehand and then use a little smoothing and adjust a few points and curves here and there and it looks nice.
The only thing I used the pen tool for here was the glasses, as I suck at doing straight-edged geometric shapes freehand.

aw, so nice to see this style again. I remember that when I was younger I used to go through your gallery, trying to learn from it. Your pics were (and are) a big inspiration to me.
