Thylacine is an extinct marsupial (as of 1936) that could open it's mouth 163 degrees. They lived in southern (at one point all) Australian, and where the only known carnivorous marsupial. They where said to be related to the kangaroo and where about the size of a German shepherd. Google one or youtube video "the last thylacyne" Which the video was tooken in 1933 three years before the last known thylacine died in the zoo.

Yeah, some people call them tasmanian tigers, but that's an incorrect name. I like them a lot, there has been sightings of them (unconfirmed video) but since they've only been extinct for so long (and there's so little people in Australia) that they May still be alive...Maybe.
