Now that Memories of Arcadia is complete, it's time to get back to basics! And what better way to warm up to drawing again, than drawing my wife's feet! What can I say? She's my muse in any shape or form~

Much like the last time , these are in fact traced over from photos I've taken of her feet over the years, in an effort to find the shapes that make up the foot, so as to make more organic and interesting shapes in future works. Admittedly, I had to fill in the gaps for some portions of a few of these sketches, as either the original photo was taken on a low-resolution cell phone camera (as was the case in the early 2010's!), or the original photo had my hands/feathers blocking certain parts of her feet. Pretty sure her big toes were tied together in half of these, but those ribbons or strings have *~imagined away~*!!

This time, to make things a little more interesting, I opted to go in and shade these tootsies, completely free-handed! The lighting is left intentionally vague to make it a little easier to shape, with only a rough idea of where my light source oughta be in each sketch. So while the sketch itself was traced, no reference was utilized for the shading portion, as an added challenge to myself! And I had a lot of fun!

These will be sent to my Scraps folder at a later date, but please enjoy in the meantime while I work on my contest winners' prizes! Have a good one, guys!
