Hi! I just featured this in my first journal of 2009 . Please stop by, when you have time, to look at the other Canine and Feline Art displayed there. Happy New Year!

Very cool, I have seen a lot of wolf art here on DA but very few African wild dogs. Very impressionistic. Thank you for that little morsel of info about the brushes, pallets and what not it really helped.

Dear Artist,

I would like to apologize to you for not being able to keep up with the art that has been piling up inside my messages. While i cannot make a well thought out comment about your work, i would like you to know that i have viewed it, and will continue to look at everything you submit to DA that arrives in my message box, for i would feel too guilty to delete any of the images without atleast looking at them first. Being without a subscription this is harder, so i will go through the art one by one in my box, and post this message.

Please forgive me for not being able to be more personal in my thoughts. I look forward to more of your art every day and again apologize for falling behind on my DA list. When i can finally knock out the 2,000 deviations in my box, i will return to regular, personal messages about the artwork im looking at.

Good luck to you and thank you for continuing to make DA a unique and special place by submitting your art for people like me to enjoy and be inspired by.

Respectfully,
-thejackbull

P.S. I apologize if this note reaches you several times. I am several months behind on the submissions.

very nice
i always have trouble with acrylisc. my b rushes get all clumpy. i suppose the same brushes shouldnt be used for oils and i should have different ones for that.
i like the bold strokes and such. great work

Clumpy brushes or paint? I know that if I leave my paints out for a bit too long their surfaces can dry out a bit and then leave little clumpy bits of paint mixed in with the wet. I have learned to avoid this problem by doing two things: 1. using an air-tight palet with a damp piece of palet paper placed over wetted papertowels (the thick blue kind), and 2. using paint retarder to slow the drying process a bit and to allow me to mix paints directly on the canvas in the same way you would with oils. As for my brushes, I only have one set of brushes and they're super cheap! I just make sure that I wash my brushes thoroughly after each use (the orange pumice hand-cleaner is great for cleaning your brushes. you can also buy brush cleaner at an art store, but it's more expensive). Hope this helps!
