Honestly, compared to some of the other stuff a lot of other villians did (killing anywhere from thousands of people up to billions like Nappa, Frieza, the Androids, Cell, Majin Buu, Beerus, VEGETA MULTIPLE TIMES LIKE DUDE REALLY??), kidnapping Gohan as a kid is actually pretty tame! Like, I think Raditz seriously only killed one guy, and that was some poor farmer dude who technically shot at him first, so...

I really feel poor Raditz got the short end of the stick, most of the other Dragonball bad guys got a chance at redemption except for this guy (along with Nappa and a few of Freiza's henchmen,) despite having the connection of being Goku's biological brother.
