More Sonic Basball , I guess.

Here are a couple of more little snippets from the bunch of sketches I drew today. I really enjoyed playing around with these quick sketches and doodles. I even made up stories in my head as I drew them. I envisioned all the things I would’ve loved to see if there was ever a cartoon (or comic issue) that involved Sonic and the crew in a game of baseball shenanigans.
For instance, I like the idea of Sally being a coach for the “good guy” team (“The Acorns”, “Team Freedom”?). It starts out as a fun game for her, but she becomes obsessed with winning. Throughout the game, she slowly becomesthat kind of coach. The one who constantly argues with the umpire and losing her mind whenever one of her players strike out. It may sound out of character for her, but I don’t think it’s that much of a stretch (especially if using it for comedic purposes). Given that’s she’s the leader of the Freedom Fighters, we don’t often see her take charge of something that’s just for fun. So of course it’s all going to go to her head!
Bunnie is an outfielder. The jets she has on her feet can allow her to leap really high to catch any long balls. You think she would be a pitcher, given her robotic arm, but she’s terrible at throwing a ball with her right hand. In fact, sometimes people just end up getting really hurt!
