<--PREVIOUS - NEXT-->Looks like Zonic is in a bit of a of trouble. Should've had back-up instead of going on his own.
Man, I pray I'm getting this right! The Destructix is the only group in the Sonic Universe I know very little about (with the exception of Scourge and Fiona). The only thing I learned about them was from SU, during Scourge breakout arc. Which I only skimmed through to get the references I needed for the No Zone fancomic. So if something seems amiss, let's just chalk it up to "this is a different canon from the official comics, thus the character(s) are slightly different" excuse.
I have a very busy Friday and weekend ahead of me. I might not color and letter the next page in time for Friday's update. The next page might be pushed until Saturday or Sunday.

Yeah, but she does travel back to the Prime Zone with Scourge to mess with Sonic and co. a lot, so she still hops between them.
Though if ur talking a permanent transition, I think any one who crosses zones, even once and stays, is a zone-hopper, unless they're filling a void left by their now-late counterpart.
When I say this, I refer to Eggman Pre-Genesis Wave. The original Eggman of the Prime Zone died, but when the Eggman from another zone (where everyone is a cyborg) invaded the Prime Zone, he essentially took Eggman Prime's place, and thus stabalized the zone (this also worked because he annihilated everyone is his zone, meaning there was no reason for him to stay there). As Zonic (Sonic's Zone Cop counterpart) puts is, "Sonic Prime needs an Eggman to fight".

Yeah, there are lots of little details about the Pre-Genesis (PG) cannon that are easily forgotten. For instance, during his year stranded in space, PG Sonic had a universal translation device implanted into his head that allowed him to understand any and all languages, and thus communicate with any alien race he came across, which helped him with his journey home. However, once he got home, it was discovered the device fused with Sonic's skull, making it unremovable, so he is now forever infinity-lingual (idk what else to call it ), including being able to understand his dog, Mutsky.
Anyways, Eggman would have been a foreigner, were he not taking the place of Eggman Prime and balancing out the zone, making it "normal" for him to be there. I'd say it's the equivalent of an immagrant gaining citizenship. They didn't belong in the country at first, but once they gained citizenship, they rightfully became a part of it.
Though, now it doesn't really matter, what with the reboot retconning anything and everything prior.

Hate to be 'that guy' but cyborg reality eggman isn't the one that filled the void, unless everyone was de-cyborgized. It's been confirmed that Eggman came from the zone featured here.

He managed to build a new body from a giant borg piece. I'll try my best to find the official confirmation, but basically he nuked his mobius before coming to the prime zone, hence why while he's crazy he makes note of sonic surviving the nuke.

I still think they should of just ended the comic series and started a brand new one than moosh them together horribly with this Super Genesis Wave bullcrap.

Yeah, I honestly don't know why they did that. They went through all that trouble of Nicole restoring everyone's memories... just to have them forget all over again??? It's like they were teasing that they might return to the old canon eventually, but then ended up backing out. And since with "Eggman's Dozen" we've been introduced to at least 5 new characters we know nothing about (meaning we're supposed to learn more about them later in subsequent issues), it''s obvious they won't be going back anytime soon.

I would of ended the series with an epilogue set in "True Light Mobius" and then start a brand new comic series with the Mobius we have now. The first half of #1 could be a catch up from Classic to Modern timeline and the second half getting the story on the way.
Already history is repeating itself. The comics start out accurate to canon but eventually introduces original content and drama. It'll be in a few dozen comics or after the Unleashed story arc the comics will be entirely different from the games.

We all have Penders to blame for throwing a wrench into Archies works. But it's really Archies fault for deciding on the Super Genesis Wave.
Drama is already seeping into the works. such as the Pronghorn sisters backstory.

As for the Gensis wave, that was more or less a good thing. While it was oiginally a one-off transition for the anniversary arc, it became a rather conventient tool for making Archies bad decision of connecting the two universes as seemles as possible. Without it, Idk how Archie would have explained the whole situation and kept the two connected.

I guess more easier for those orphans to accept they have no family at all now. Such characters as Bernadette and Jules Hedgehog as well as Amadeus and Rosemary Prower being removed from existance and Sega not allowing Sega characters to have family anymore.
Even Prof. Charles is not confirmed to be Sonic's biological uncle anymore.
I just find it all a horrible mess and I still hate the SGW because I'd rather have the comics come to an end and start a new than mash old lore with new lore together.
Meanwhile Ken Penders taken his Enchiladas and started a whole new original series with them, set in a world creativly called Mobius , with seven " power cores " and the entirely original villan Kintobor .
Completely original.
Ironic that it all started with him sueing Sega over how much the Marauders were like the Dark Legion. The hipocrit.
I hope someday Archie will replace Julie-Su and Dark Legion with Shade and the Marauders as a big finger to Penders... but Ken Penders has it he cannot file a lawsuit unless Sega use anything related to Sonic Chronicles. Which also means no sequal to the original agme either.
I know it's all fairly old news now, but it still does me in what Archie has to resolve to when they could of avoided most of this mess.

The Chronicles lawsuit was after the Archie lawsuit. The Archie one was Penders tried to retain copyright of his characters, Archie's legal team failed to produce Penders' contract, Penders took his characters and Archie's lagal team was fired. HOWERVER, "Archie comics was given the rights to use the characters under certain conditions. Some of these conditions include any story featuring Lara-Su which Archie Comics wishes to put into production must be reviewed and approved by Penders and nothing must contradict what was established in the Mobius: 25 Years Later stories he wrote."

So thats how the bugger been getting away with it! I've always figured even the original characters in the Sonic comics are still legally owned by Sega and wondered what possible loop-holes Ken Penders exploited in his contract to pull it off.
Turns out it's missing. Awfully suspicious.
But still while Shade and the Marauders have similarities to Julie-Su and the Dark Legion, they are not exact clones and these characters were made by BioWare and Sega, thus they are not directly involved with Archie comics.
It's like the possibility that Ken Penders could be inspired from StC's Doctor Zachary when he made Doctor Finitevus. On Ken Penders forum he did say Archie gave him british Sonic comics to skim through at times and Zachary is ten years older than Finitevus.

I'm open to be more acceptable to such romances in stories, but I know it's not usually a thing in comics.
All in all, I tihnk Ken Penders may have hurt Sega's pride more than intended. While Sonic Chronicles was not a good game, it stories had potential and would be interested to see a sequal.
Plus I think such games as Sonic Battle and anything Gizoids related are sucked down too because the lawsuit says they can't continue anything related to Chronicles.
I hope someday to remake Sonic Chronicles as a fan game in my own image.

Yeah, I get that, but I'm pretty sure there's evidence in previous comics to show Rotor as straight, which makes it seem to come out of nowhere. Besides, the fact he put that in there behind their backs despite the rules against it shows how coniving and sefl-centered he is.
Ikr? It would have been interesting to see how the gang would cope with being thrown an entire year into the future where Eggman was able to do as he pleased without their interference.

It may take some time.
Originally I had ideas for my very own RPG system for a Sonic fan game, but no story for it.
Then the lawsuit happened and decided I'll see if I can remake Sonic Chronicles someday.
The story won't be a direct copy of it though. I plan making some changes around. I may replace Mystic Ruins and Central City with Jungle Zone and Springyard Zone, thus making the game set on South Island. Also the areas will be much more bigger for the sake of dungeon crawling.
It all depends how it goes.
